Nova G3 chuck?

I need to hold 1 1/2" dowel.
I have a g3 chuck and went to klingspor to get a different set of Jaws to hold it.
Guy there recommended a set of 6034 pen plus jaws. Guess what they don't open wide enough. Close but another 1/8" and hey would work.

So which jaws do I need to hold a 1 1/2" round dowel?
I need to support one end while drilling the other end.

These look very close - you may need to wrap the dowel with a little tape, the minimum closed fit on this set is a hair over 1.5inches.

35 mm spigot jaw for Nova will cover the range you need and give you some depth to hold it.

I use an axminister with O'Donnell jaws -- but that is a much more expensive solution

I got tired of changing out jaws all the time, even with multiple chucks.
Here is something to consider. Not much more money than a set of jaws and a lot more convenient. I use one for those times when I need something quick and have been happy with it.
