Nouveau Sceptre Problem

One of the first pens I have sold is a Sceptre roller ball from PSI. Unfortunately it was returned after 3 weeks. The threads of the black plastic interior of the centerband on the cap are broken, and the pen will no longer screw together.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

My fiance has made a couple of these (1 just last night) and nothing like that has happened. Could it have happened from user error? maybe not from your buyer but maybe from someone the showed their new pen too? Alot of people think these pens are friction caps and will tug the ever-living out of them and that can ruin the threads. Or it could be from forcing the threads together and breaking them?
