Thanks to the members of the IAP and the generosity of Exoticblanks.com the following donation was made possible:

December 12, 2009
Dr. William Cavanaugh
International Association of Pen Turners

Dear Dr. Cavanaugh,
Thank you so much for your contribution of $544.00 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Your support is hard at work bringing us closer to our goal of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
Your support has helped us establish the global breast cancer movement and build a grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Today, Komen for the Cure reaches people in more than 200 countries and is the world's largest source of private funds for breast cancer research and community outreach programs, with nearly $1 billion invested to date.

Most important of all, these efforts have helped save millions of lives, making the two million breast cancer survivors living in the United States the largest group of cancer survivors today.
Because of your help, we are one step closer to creating a world without breast cancer.
Sincerely,

Amb. Nancy G. Brinker
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

My hats off to Dawn & Ed and all members here. As some here might know Diane is a survivor and the fight against breast cancer is very close to our hearts.

Cav that is a fantastic amount of money raised for this cause, my gratitude to Ed, Dawn and yourself for making the sale of these blanks go from an idea to a proven money raiser. :good:

Heartfelt thanks to all who purchased these blanks! :handshake:

I have a heartfelt thank you for everyone. and a special spot for Ed and Dawn for basically putting it all together. I have not mentioned this before but my wife will be going in soon for surgery on a lump they found about a month ago. Nothing serious at this point but still there is the concern. She lost a sister a few years ago to cancer (Not breast though) so a history gives a bit more to think / worry about.

This really is quite a story. Cav reacted to the "pink uni" post as a gentleman and allowed us all to rib him for quite a while. Dawn saw this and called Cav to discuss the "Uni pink for Cancer". Cav again was magnanimous. Then, people started showing the pens on the IAP and sales GREW! "Cav's uni pink" is now one of our top products!! Each week, a couple dozen go out. Over half of each sale goes to the "Cancer fund".

But, "Exotic blanks" is not alone in this type of promotion. Several other vendors have done the same, with lasered parts etc. Hopefully, they, too will show amounts donated as we near year-end.

Next year we hope to expand "Cav's uni-pink" to other products as well. Assuming Cav isn't sick of it!!!

Again, thanks to all who have purchased this color!!!

Thanks to Cav, Ed and Dawn! Generous people have more fun!! One of those Cav pink pens went to a dear friend who is a recent survivor.
