Norwegian wood needed

Hello all, I have a customer asking for a pen made from Norwegian wood. I am hoping folks here can help me put together a list of native Norwegian woods as well as sources for as many of them as possible. Pretty pen type wood sources that is.

I was going to be slightly less direct and suggest Rubber Soul as a source for Norwegian Wood. :biggrin:

Scandinavia is much like North-Western Ontario (which is likely why a lot of Swedes like my grandmother congregated here) - mostly conifers...

I have a PM in to Wolfdancer about his Birch. that looks like a winner if I can get in contact with him and if he still has some.

If WolfDancer doesn't have any, "cwasil" had some he was selling for pendant blanks and may have enough for a pen blank or two. I've bought some in the past from AS. I may have one at home and you'd be welcome to it if I can find it.
