Yes it is almost complete, at least I am back turning again, I am quite happy with it. Notice the new operating room style curtain around my lathe. I am a production bowl turner and it really stops the chips from going all over the shop. Let me know what you think

Very nice-BUT too clean :wink::biggrin: I really like the slab on the floor.

I was looking for burl wood at this Sunday Market and this guy told me he had a burl table slab he would sell me for $5.00, after he brought it to me there was not a lot of burl in it, I will get a few blanks out of it. What do expect for $5 bucks

Come on, tell the truth...you're really just a tool collector, and like to look at your tools, not use them. That shop is WAY too clean. There's not even anything in the dust collector, for crying out loud.

J/K, that is a nice setup, I'm just jealous.

Why it is so clean I have only just got it fininshed and some of the tools have only just come out of their packing grates, Dust Extractor included.:wink:

I like the idea of putting a step in front of the lathe. I'm somewhat vertically challenged and my lathe is about 3" too high.

I have seen quite a few professional turners and they all seem to say that the spindle height should be at your elbow height. I must say I tried it for a while without the stand and when I put the stand in front it certainly improved the turning.
