OK my wife (Evelyn) says I cant have my new lathe until I get Rosetta stone for English as a second language. I don't see what the problem just because I say things like ten purning and senn patate oh and a head with it's chicken cut off. I ask you is fhat tair. Do I really need to learn English to be able to purn a ten??? So I mix up my words one in a while I know what I want to say that should count for something it just not fair. Please tell her that.:smile:

Dan I guess you could tell her in person the next time we are in your area. Our son lives in York and we go to Wegmans and the silver springs diner when were in the area we like both.

Have you looked at the Hampton Roads Pen Turners? We are going to be meeting next month at Woodcraft in Norfolk on the second. Stop in and hang out with us all.
 
I wouldn't worry about that at all Dan, I do something similar, saying she is permanent instead of pregnant, dogalog instead of catalog and things like that, its a bit like the dislexik atheast, that didn't believe in dog.
The way to get your lathe, is to buy her one for her birthday or Christmas:biggrin:

Thank for the complement Tom but it not a turning. I was dish was cut on my scroll saw and sanded using a bowl sander. The base was done with my oscillating spindle sander and a fence I made to keep the base flat. A lot of people have thought is was a turning.
