The lid of the inkwell has an "O" ring on it so that ink can be stored in it (hopefully).

That is in a word, fantistic, very well done.

For others who view this piece, I have personally seen Dawn and shane's work both casting and turning and photos do not show the true quality and craftsmanship that they produce.

That is slick for sure! I really like the homebrew. remind me of some airbrush paint jobs of realflame i have seen. Looks like it is on fire.

VERY nice!!! Is that just reflection from the great finish on the lid of the ink well or does it have a groove to balance the pen on?

I'm also sure that if o-rings can work on bottle stopper that it will be fine on the inkwell too:biggrin:

Yes, I put a groove in the top of the lid for the pen to balance on.
