This package is intended for someone who is just getting started with pen turning.
I am including the following items in this package:
3 drill bits. 7mm, 10mm, and 27/64. These are fairly universal sizes used in a large number of pens. 7 and 10 mm bits are brad point, 27/64 is a twist
3 reamer shafts, of the same size drill bits as above
a pack of 10 24k gold slimline kits (7mm tubes)
Some blanks (5 inch, ~3/4 square, unless you would like your own dimensions cut) of ambrosia maple, purple heart, and zapote. 3-4 of each.
Ambrosia maple is a softer wood, figured by the ambrosia beetle and a fungus that gives it darker streaking. Very pretty stuff, easy to work with ( third pic)
Zapote is a red south american wood with a relatively straight grain, slightly harder than red heart. (not pictured)
Purple heart is a rich purple wood from south america, with a uniform grain. Make sure to keep your tools sharp! This wood takes a very very high polish.
Note: There is no cutter head included with the reamer shafts. The one I had was absolutely blunt as a butter knife, and got wrecked when I tried to sharpen it :/ so I did not see a point in including something that was useless.
All the items in this package are in good working order. The bits and reamers are not brand spanking new, but by no means dull. They still work great. The slimline kits have not been opened. The blanks will come in 5 inch sticks, not pre-drilled, for you to work with.
I am asking 30 dollars for the whole package, plus shipping. I take both paypal and credit cards.
Thanks guys!! Any questions, ask below so I can answer publicly
