Hello all,

I've been lurking for a while and decided Santa Claus needed a boot in the pants and some better guidance. As a result, I have a new mini-lathe and a handful of sacrificial slimline pen kits.
I'm not incredibly bright but I'm not afraid of failure so I'll probably be back in a few hours with a bucketful of questions.

Hi! Here is a tip: if it didn't turn out right, you don't need to put it on a kit! Just get extra tubes, this will eliminate stress, cost, ugly pens, and will put you in the mindset to always go for you best work on a pen. But you WILL end up with a pile of "learned on" tubes!
