I've been spending a lot of time the past couple weeks pouring resin and had a little time tonight, while waiting for the Silmar to warm up, to turn this pen. It was nice to get a little lathe time. The pen is the Celtic kit with one of my new Cardistry blanks. I thought the two worked well together and my wife was happy to get a new pen. lol
All comments welcome. thanks!

I give you credit for the photography! The blank as displayed is excellent, with a clear image.

I suspect the colors are subtle, so the photo is great.

Wonderful pattern and perfect alignment.

About time Wifey got a nice pen... :rolleyes:

Somehow I sense some Irish influence !

That notwithstanding, it is a beautiful pen, John, and a real expression of your craftsmanship !!

GREAT continuity between the cardistry blank (a very interesting design--vintage??) and the Celtic-looking hardware.

Well done, John!!!

Thanks for all the comments!

Surprisingly these are not vintage. They were a special deck produced from custom designed hand drawn artwork. They just seemed to fit the celtic pen theme.

My wife is always happy to get a new pen. lol

Pretty damned cool John !!:good::good::good:
Would you mind showing the seam please? I'd like to see how you managed it:wink:.

Here's the back side. Most cards are made in a mirror image of themselves down the middle so they meet up against themselves when measured equally. This one is a little off, which is why I turned it.
