Have I got a deal for you!
  1. Have you been turning pens for less than 6 months?
  2. Is the cost of blanks keeping you from progressing?
  3. Want some free wood practice blanks?
I have 4 boxes of assorted blanks. Some pretty plain, some worth a turn. Wide variety of species. Might be one or 2 acrylics or other non-wood in each box. Free blanks, free shipping, with one catch! Your end of the bargain is to post a picture of a pen you make from the blanks within 30 days of receiving the box.

If you would like to receive one of these boxes, post "I'll take one" below, then DM me your shipping address. I use UPS, so no PO Boxes please.

I'll take one, for a friend. She and her husband just moved here a year ago, and they got interested in pen-turning, so I just gave them one of my old lathes. As soon as they get kits, etc., I'm going over to help them with pen-turning, and we could start with these.

@CGrant Pass this registration link along to them, then they can make the request: https://www.penturners.org/login/register

More than happy to send them a box.

I talked with Jeff about this offer .
I will donate one of my segmented blanks to the 4 people who get the boxes of blanks from Jeff. It could be like one of these shown below , or a similar one. I might even show you how to make it !!!!!!

I'll take one!
My 11 year old son and I just started turning together a month ago. He's making pens for his friends and turning has become my weekend therapy. I've already learned plenty of helpful things from this forum!

Thanks Jeff!

My first pen from your (generous) shipment. Navigator rollerball pen in satin nickel, made with a stabilized double-dyed orange and black maple burl pen blank.

Well, I finally got to turn this one! This is curly Koa with a pens plus finish. I originally turned one with regular Koa and a CA finish because I was trying to do a comparison between the woods and finishes, but I messed it up twice (sanded off the CA finish AND turned the upper and lower barrels inversely LOL). Thank you Jeff for sending all of these beautiful blanks and excited to experiment more! Next up is either stabilizing or segmenting!!

My son loves red, and my daughter loves teal and purple, so these acrylics were perfect! Hard to capture the exact color with my phone camera right now, but it looks much better in person!
