Finally replaced my old 14 inch Delta 14-070 Drill Press (c. 1997) with a new Powermatic 2800. Also replaced my 8 year old 12 Inch Jet Bandsaw (open stand model, 1/2 hp) with the newest 14 inch Jet Closed Base Bandsaw - 1 HP with bearing guides and a 12 inch resaw capacity. Love 'em!

By the way - does anyone have a Delta 14-070 Drill Press they don't need or doesn't work that has a table that is in good shape? That's the problem with my old drill press - the table cracked at the 90 degree angle.....

Roger, if you can't find one then it may be worth welding it. I've had pretty good results from welding cast iron with a stainless steel rod.
Just grind a chamfer around the edges so you get good penetration.
Maybe a local garage can do the job for a nice pen?

Itura Design specializes in products to improve bandsaws. They don't like to give out free catalogs as they are a very small company and it's a huge cost to print this very informative "book" on bandsaws. Eventually,hopefully,they will have it available on a web site. I wouldn't normally post a rapidshare download but I don't think they would care and I think people here will find it of interest.
I have no affiliation or relationship to them in any way.
