Dear All,
I recently purchased an awesome used Jet 14" bandsaw with the riser block and Carter Bandsaw Guides. They guy before me didn't know what he was doing in setting it up and I am having to do some minor repair.
Here's my problem . . . The down rod on the extension that adjusts the height of the upper bandsaw guide (relative to the height of the table) is a little out of alignment. The down rod is slightly twisted such that the guides don't hit the blade flush. Every time I adjust the guides and then tighten them back down, they just twist back and aren't flush anymore (the blade only hits one edge of each guide. This wouldn't be that much of a problem, but it is causing the blade to ride off of the thrust bearing when I have to really push something through.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks,
Kyle
