Hi everyone! I've been lurking the forums for a few weeks and have already picked up some great info. I'm excited to join this group as I begin my turning adventures. I've attempted 10 pens and 7 actually came out, so I've got a winning season so far :smile:

I look forward to talking with and learning more from all of you! I'm new to pen turning and turning in general, but please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Additionally we have general wood turning clubs in Lisle (Windy City), Arlington Height (Chicago), Rockford, South Holland (Illiana), and Morris that I know of.

Thanks for the info! I'm in Bloomington and haven't found any clubs around here.
