I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Robert from Oklahoma, retired and enjoying the experience of pen turning. I started about 2 years ago and have really loved the experience. Wondering if you have also found a local American Association of Woodturners (AAW) chapter near you - also a good place to meet and discuss general turning, usually with a few penmakers as well. You can look for chapters here AAW Site

Welcome to the group. Loads of information in the library. I also belong to a local chapter of AAW. Plus, there is a Woodcraft store in Chattanooga, about one hour away. Offer loads of "necessary" things for pen making and woodturning. Also classes on pen turning, bowl turning, tool sharpening, etc. Have taken all three.
