Made a new (Bigger) strop that will accommodate chisels and my hatchet much better. The leather is 3" x 8.5" Total length is 16". The handle is Ash.

Boil Linseed Oil for a wipe-on finish.
This a leftover project from yesterday.

I like it and a great off cut use too !

Something I have intended to make for a while. I made a similar one with carpet which I use to oil the base of my planes after use.

Corners around the hand hole look a bit sharp to me but then again you won't be as clumsy as me no doubt !

Another job for the list !

I love my horse butt strop from tools for working wood. I have a number of other (much cheaper) leather strops. They are very soft and quite thick. The horse butt is really hard and thinner. I'm debating gluing it down to a board like yours. I'm also toying with an idea of attaching a 3/4" dowel piece to it to try and stop it from creeping in use. Just plug it into a bench dog hole and off I go.

I like the shape of yours
