Ive been reading and learning so much from this forum but i'm just not much of a poster.
Im off to Spain in a few days and made some pens as gifts to my hosts.

Im a specialist engineer in the oil & gas sector and have been designing and manufacturing some electronic accessories in my spare time mostly of metals but recently using my jet lathe to play with some stone, M3, Wood and various resins. Everything i use has to be imported and the customs people are just let me say nicely - dishonest :)
Here's a few of my other hand turned items.

Hi Graeme, welcome and thanks for showing us your turnings.

What are the items with the O-Ring on them?

They look like they could be a part of a game call, but I'd guess they're not.

Your hosts are going to like your gifts.

Happy turning

What are the items with the O-Ring on them?

Glad I'm not the only one scratching my head about those?

My bet is, they are bottle stoppers? The O-ring snugs into the throat of the bottle? I've not seen this hardware for sale, but they look like a great idea.

Really like the trustone pens -- have never seen the purplish trustone before.

Great selection of work...!

Thanks
Steve

Love the pens........very well done.

Like others, I am scratching my head and wondering. Without something that I know (to judge by) I am not sure if these are 1/2" high or 8" high. My best guess is that they are on the small side. Maybe a personal design of bud vases or game pieces.
Whatever they are, the workmanship is great and they sure are shiney.

Welcome to the IAP and please post more work soon.

All I can say is "WOW......what a great idea."
I now assume that they are acrilycs? Do you do the castings?
Great work!
To me, the last ones look like wood. Can you tell us what kind and how you finished them?

Only the one brown coffee coloured mouthpiece is acrylic. The other mouthpieces are M3 and tru stone (a few dodgy pictures of wood ones also)
I would love to do my own casting but importing stuff to Thailand is a nightmare so i havent bothered. Some great vendors around who help me out with the shipping declaration to make the import hassle free ;)

Welcome. I thought most who used electronic cigarettes were in the process of trying to quit. With items that attractive to show off, they won't quit, they will keep puffing so everyone will see their beautiful holder!

That's is some nice turning.

Vaping electronic cigs is not about quitting but just a healthier way of getting nicotine but around 99% safer. Only a very small number use it as a quitting device and the term quitting smoking gets some confused ....
