The ring is on it's way so I can't take another picture of it. From a side view, it looks like an egg. It's thin and round down bottom and humps up where the stone is. The price was $1210. They supplied the ruby in this case.

Thanks guys. It is a finger ring and actually is pretty comfy. Maybe the angle of the picture is distorting it a bit. There's a nice round finger hole through the side. It is a pretty strange way of holding onto a heart shaped stone, but that's what makes it interesting.
