We decieded to get my Son Gunther a pup for his birthday....well my wife decieded. Our Saint Bernerd Sitka passed 2 years ago and Tracy has been wanting one ever since, Gunther has missed her a great deal too. As have I, since I wont be competing this winter and we had a financial window where we could afford too add to our family we went for it!

Our new pup! I am going to pick her up in two weeks during Gunthers Birthday party! She just turned 4 weeks old and we were given pick of the litter. Our pup is the second largest and most active. She is already showing sings of being bright and was very interactive with Tracy and I. She about pulled my mustache off!

Tracy the pup's dad Henry and the new pup. I would have liked to have had a bigger dad but he is in excellent health, has solid lines and a very sweet disposition. And this litter is not a 6-8 hour drive away!

Henry and I hit it off right away and played while Tracy looked the pups over.

Momma is sweet as pie too......I can forgive a narrow chest, she moves very well for a Saint. Typical rolling gait but more fluid than most.......I think we did very well chosing a new family member. Porbably not a changce in the world she would place well in a show ring but I want a solid worker and dedicated companion for my son. The blend of long and shoprt hair will be a nice change.....Sitka was a long haired veriety and it can be a bit much!

Paul

You just hit on we we dont run a team! Having 16 of my best freinds die within a 3-5 year span would KILL me! I do volunteer at a couple of races, run a back country check point for the Don Bowers memeorial 300. Kinda proud of that one as it is a Iditarod/yukon quest quilifier! And I am the one running the check point!

I know what you mean Rick. With all of our rescues it kills us to think that they will pass at some point (one of them is 18 (he's bugging me about voter registration and a drivers license), and 3 others are better than 12 on breeds with a 12 year life expectancy).

With the grand son on the way, we know that we can't rescue more and I've turned away 4 in the past month. But this house will never be without a pup running around.

By the way, I think in those first pics he thought he found a

SQUIRREL!!!!!!!
