These are two new designs for me using a slimline kit and wooden center bands. Blue one is Maple burl and the blue/gold is buckeye burl, both blanks from BB.

Thanks Anthony, I appreciate the complment. Those Buckeye burls come out really great sometime judging from the ones I have seen before.

Sam, those are really nice looking pens. You did a good job on them. Are you sure that bottom one is buckeye burl? It looks to me like double-dyed BEB (box elder burl).

Gary, now that you mention it, you are absolutely correct. I seem to stay confused in the burls.

Nice pens. I am always amazed at the various ways to adapt the slim line kits. You did a great job.
