It has been awhile since I turned many pens. I had a couple sets I did last month but other then that, the last I turned was back in 2012. Here is one I did this month. It is a Sierra Vista Chrome with a Paua Abalone Shell blank I won in last years Birthday Bash. I wish I would of had a higher end kit but I had to pull this one from one of my circuit board kits just to put it together. Was going to do a normal sierra but was afraid to turn that shallow since this is the first one I have done of this type of blank.

Let me know what you all think.

Chris

Those abalone shell blanks are beautiful and you can't go wrong with a Sierra. Your pen looks great and reminds me of a dark blue abalone blank I put in a Sierra carbon fiber (one my go-to kits these days) last summer as gift to a nurse we appreciated when my wife was getting treatment in Seattle. Nice work!

I think you did extremely well.

Nothing wrong with the chrome vista. And the blank is beautiful - you turned and finished it wonderfully.

Thanks for sharing - awesome pen.
