Spalted Maple Burl Cigar Pen. I've been playing around with the background to today

Nice work, Ron. I like both the shell and the pen. Not sure if the shell pulls attention away from the pen, though. All in all, nice result.

I glad you mentioned that, I've been wondering that myself. Do you think changing the angle makes the pen more prominent?

Very nice Ron. The pen is great, and I don't think that the shell takes away from it at all. If anything, I think that your picture set-up really sets the pen off nicely. I do like the first picture better.

Ron,

First photo shows the markings on the pen much better, but that could be a brightness adjustment or individual monitor issue. I do prefer the angle of the pen on the second pic.

I would be proud to post either pic, the pen is a winner![]
