Hi!
I'm a serial hobbiest who has been making pens on and off for about 10 years. I think I've made at least 40 pens, and given away about half.
I have a Taige Micro Lathe, which I put a tool-rest on for turning small bowls and pens. Having a metal lathe is handy when I want to make custom bushings or turn a really hard material. I also figured out yesterday how to rig it up with my Dremel to sharpen my pen mills reliably.
I found this forum when I was looking for more information about fountain pens. I had a client from my day job request a fountain pen, and I'd never made one or even used one before.
