Hi everybody,
I came across this site via Pinterest, thanks for letting me join. Some years ago I inherited my dads wood working machine a Coronet Major which includes a saw, a planer, a mortiser and a lathe. I retired a few years ago and thought I would like to take up woodturning and joined a local club to help develop my skills. I started by turning a few pens and gave these to friends and relations. I've since been making them for a charity: the Royal National lifeboat Institution (RNLI). As well as woodturning I have also got a scroll saw and been making some toys for my grandchildren.

Welcome to the forum from N I.
Ray, you should also try Streamline pen kits which give a lot more timber to play with, and are much the same price as the Slimlines.
When you want some higher end kits then check out Beaufortink. www.beaufortink.co.uk
Enjoy the hobby. You are off to a great start already.
