Saying hello from DFW.
I've been woodworking for almost my whole life, but just got into turning about 6 months ago when I bought an Excalibur lathe from Rockler (my wife said that it was about the only woodworking machine that I didn't own). I started messing around with some small turnings, but didn't really enjoy it as much as I had hoped until I took a pen turning class through Rocker as well. I've since made about a dozen pens (posting pictures of a couple in the Show Off Your Pens forum soon) and really enjoy the "instant gratification" they bring.
I've been reading through the forums and have gotten some great ideas on how to turn and finish better. Hopefully, I can get to the point where I can help someone else out.
