Ok so my new kit came in and imho I am not to sold on it. It seems to write fine and a good weight but I just can't get past how long the cap is. Other than that I like it. It was my first time with antler and I was pretty prepared for the stench which never came or so I thought until I walked in the house with the shaving on me and my wife almost ran for the toilet. But hey I am a plumber smells are not that big of a deal. Anyway hope y'all like them. I am sorry if the pics are bad used my phone for these.

It looks like the kit would really like to have a slim, straight blank(no wasp to it)? Maybe, that's what it needed....I dunno.

Being completely honest here, I don't like it. I agree it that kit appears it would need turned more B2B and no "curve". Aside from that it appears to be turned a bit proud on the nib end which in my opinion adds to the problem.

You did an outstanding job on the antler. However, I agree with you. The cap on this new kit sucks (IMHO). If it had a cap that you could add the blank or whatever, like we do with almost all of the other kits, it would be a great kit.

As others have mentioned, I think it would look better with a straighter body as well. That's how I am with the "zen" pens, to much bow and it just doesn't work because the cap isn't bowed and there's no way to change that. As far as what you did, you did a good job on it.
