I purchased the PSI corner cutting jig thinking it would come in handy. No so. The blanks are not securely held and I suspected that they could loose during cutting. I reworked the unit as follows. Originally the steel rods were securely mounted in each of the two plastic ends. I cut one of the rods and drilled the end pieces so that the shortened rod would slide freely as shown in the first photo. Photos two and three show how the blanks were originally clamped. Only the corners were clamped. After trimming one corner the blank must be removed, rotated, aligned and clamped. Photos four and five demonstrate the modification. The shortened rod is placed through the blank and clamped. After sawing one corner the blank is loosened, rotated and clamped again. Less of the corner is removed, yet it is adequate. I do not sand the blanks as I do not have dust removal in my small shop. My TS, BS and disc sander are outside my shop in the main part of the garage. I had been removing the corners by hand on my BS. This will be an improvement.
