I received my first lathe for Christmas last year and have been going crazy with it since that day. So far I've turned about 25 pens, two turkey calls, and several wine stoppers. The purpose for the lathe was for my small business so I could be able to turn my own cork grips and wooden reel seats for the bamboo fly rods that I make. It appears that pen turning can be quite profitable as I can't keep them very long. It seems like this place is full of information and I can tell I'll be on here a lot. I hope I don't ask too many questions but I am a bit OCD about some things and like to know the correct way to do something or at least have a lot of options to try before entering the shop. Anyway, I just thought I would say hello. Oh yeah, my name is Greg Reeves and I live in the Birmingham, AL area.
