I've been waiting for a long time, but the wait is finally over. I just got my new Powermatic 3520b. I am supper excited. I have to get things rearranged in the shop so I can try her out.

Sure you did. Quit teasing and show us the yellow mustard monster. You know the old adage "No pic didn't happen" but we believe you:rolleyes: Get that shop rearranged and let's see some turnings. Happy turning.

Congrats!
Just touched up my 3520A and installed a remote switch. (see threads for today)
That is one heavy lathe. Make sure you get some help setting it up. Are you wired for 220? I guess you are if you are ready to fire it up.
Do you know about the sight for Mustard Monster owners?

Here it is. http://mustardmonster.weebly.com/

Hope to see some pics of it in your shop! Happy turning

Yeah, I'll get some pics when I get a chance. It's been real busy for me this week.

Martin, I have been to that site, and thank you for posting the link. It is heavy. I helped a friend with his new Robust and then we moved my Powermatic too. I was beat. I am wired and ready. My old lathe was a home moded grizzly that I added a 2 horse 220 volt and vfd to it. So I am just waiting for some time...

I got to work on a Robust while at a turning school and really liked being able to change the height of the machine. Great machine. I've built a riser to get a little higher on the Powermatic - especially for hollow turning. I swapped out my powermatic tool rest for a Robust tool rest because it was so comfortable. Hope you get some time soon do turn on that sweet machine. Congrats.
