was a hardcore gamer, loved anything scifi/spacey for games/tv
tv decided to turn sucky a few months back, $ > quality, wtf
wrestling on scifi channel...wtf? okay i could understand hot scifi alien
chicks wrestling...maybe a tail or 2....but normal wrestling? :frown:

realized the human race is a failure, my dreams of space crushed, etc etc
bought a lathe with the goal of 1 pen out of every type of tree in the world
thought was maybe 50-100 trees....now i find walnut isnt just walnut, but
10 different kinds of walnut -.- more pen kits bought bought bought

oh i'm aware, i thought of wood/metal inlays, copper wire, antler, snakeskin, acrylic, and a dozen more things in about 2 days, then saw this site and find i'm not the first to think such things :frown:

beyond protocol was a great space mmorts, but not enough advertising, died after 3 yrs, started with a lathe shortly after
 
And then they had to go and cancel Eureka on top of it all :( But then I still haven't forgiven them for what they did to Farscape.

Welcome! Once you get comfortable with wood, there's all the pretty, pretty acrylics, then there's casting your own acrylics, wood/acrylic hybrids and don't even get me started on all the different pen kits.
 
I don't play eve I bot eve :) Then I sell accounts off here and there as extra toys for the shop or extra cash for other hobbies. I prefer open world pvp with siege warfare. The last good siege warfare game I played was DAOC. I haven't seen anything to match it since. My last hope for some good siege warfare is GW2.

Other than that I've botted probably every game starting with UO back in the 90's. Always good for extra hobby or bill money. Though prices have gone down in the market since China started running the electronic sweat shops.
 
most of my seige warfare style of gaming has been from total war series, sadly no mmo for it heh

my latest creation has been a slimline with no top, i bought some tubes and someone messed up and sent twist mechs, so been tryin to find rest of parts :)
 
oh didn't forget, too many things to use :cool:

i kinda like the natural look of wood the most though i think
the random designs of acrylic pens are pretty, but not quite nature
snakeskin....beautiful...but that can make me go poorer faster hahahaha

this is a hobby that can be self sufficient i hope :confused:
