Hello All!! I am complete novice to pen turning, but I have been interested in quite some time. I finally have everything in place and will start tomorrow turning my first slim line pen! I'm quite sure there are plenty of things that I will need to learn and plenty of mistakes along the way that I will experience! However, I'm looking forward to journey...

Hi Layden !! . Warm welcome to IAP !!

One of the first things to learn is to not make a slimline as your first pen !!

A 30 Caliber Bolt Action is much easier and much more gratifying for a first pen !

But I know that the "common wisdom" is that it should be a slimline ... we were all told that ... and it was only later that we learned otherwise.
