Hi,
Am a retired Chippie just started pen turning, have done a small amount of turning many years ago, not got a wood lathe but i have got a 7x14 chinese metal lathe, bought the wood turning attachment. what a joke that was, took two hours to grind it down with a dremel just to get it into the tool holder and the rest was then 1 3/4 inch below centre so then bought a sorby 6" rest and post which had to be turned down to fit. But the pens i have turned are not half bad so will see how things go and maybe, just maybe i will get a Jet 1014 as a xmas pressie to myself. I only have a small flat so the jet is a still a bit big, but from my research anything less seems not up to standard.
I have joined this forum because we dont seem to have anything as good in the UK, even the Ausies have better forums than us.
Anyway thats how i ended up here and from what i have seen so far i have landed on my feet.
