The Stork left me a new Cast Iron pet! I'm going to need plenty of wood to feed it!

NICE! Let us know what you think. I'm really quite curious/ interested about that lathe. I want something bigger to do bowls with, but I'm wondering if I should get something like that, or just save up to jump to something in the $1,500-$2K range...

Yes, that was me also. I have the Rikon (which I'm prod. going to sell) but it is under powered to do bowls, so I decided to upgrade. I also went round and round about whether to bite the bullet and spend more, and then I read the review in the latest Fine Woodworking and decide to pull the trigger, so far I'm very pleased.

Would you mind posting a few photos of the lathe bench? I'm wanting to rebuild what my lathe is sitting on and like what I can see of yours.....

Me too! Thanks. Hope it's not asking too much.

I have a GI Maxi that would love to have a new stand to sit on.

No problem, I try to do it tonight. I also have a measured drawing I did on my CAD station at work, so you guys can get some measurements. You'll also notice a couple of 1/2" thick pieces of plywood screwed just underneath the top on both ends which creates a box that holds (2) 50 lbs blocks of steel to apply weight right over the feet!

I would be most interested as well. I am currently trying to decide between this new Delta and the new Grizz (big boy). I keep changing my mind.

Beautiful setup and love the bench too. Did you find a good deal somewhere? Most seem to have "list" prices.

Thanks!
Jon
