As I mentioned in another thread I am working on some additional botanical casts.

This one is Heather Flowers cast in a Pink Alumilite Resin.
I can't decide on this one - this was the only Gold Sierra I had lying around
so concentrate on the barrel if the pen plating doesn't work for you.

Also these were just some quick snapshots.

I voted that it works for me, and that it needs a different color resin. I don't know if you intended for multiple selections, but that's the way it's working. I do think almost any darker color will work. good job! :good:

This is an interesting process.
I think this blank would look better on a more modern pen maybe in chrome.

Thanks for the feedback

I hate to discourage anyone's creative attempts, but this blank doesn't work for me at all. I couldn't vote, as there was no vote available for "don't like the heather at all." Personally, I don't think any color would make me want a blank made from heather. When I look at these types of blanks, I think the larger items make for more interesting blanks (coffee beans, cherry pits, and the like.) The heather is just too tiny to be interesting.

Just my two cents worth.

Mike, I've been hesitating for days to, post anything on this thread. Please don't take this offensively. This blank gave me the impression of a disease. It doesn't work for me either. I hate to see you waste your talent and, material by pursuing this any farther. There was no place for me to vote as well. Dump the heather and, try something else. You're on the right track. Again, DON'T be offended.
