New bandsaw, help with blade types

Well got a new bandsaw how about some recomendations for blades to saw up whole burls with?

I have that same saw.... love it... sure is a work horse...

I would get either a 1/2" 3tpi or 5/8" 3tpi from Suffolk Machinery....

Good idea to call them... they are VERY helpful and know your saw and the right blade... great prices and service...

If you consider Timberwolf blades, ask the guys at Suffolk Machinery for an honest estimate of the life you can expect from a blade. Mine have been wearing out quickly. <b>They told me </b>to expect about 200 lineal feet of cutting before replacement was necessary. And that has proved pretty accurate in my experience. Very disappointing and expensive. That's a great band saw. If you intend to do a lot of resawing, consider a 1"X3tpi with carbide teeth for longer life. I use a 3/4"X3tpi non-carbide on my G0555 and it is finished with an afternoons worth of sawing.
 
Thanks all for your advice now all I got to do is get the garage ready for it [:D] James let me know if you need more info than I sent. Yah it was kinda a tool gloat too but I had to get it as I was tired of all that expensive saw dust on the floor. (my big table saw cuts a 1/4 path each cut.

My only regret is that it is $100.00 higher now than their last year's price [B)]

that WAS the one I wanted to order but it wouldnt come in till june!![}:)] So I ordered the g0513 then upgraded the fence and guides so it is now the same as the g0513x except the table size.
