This has absolutely nothing to do with pen making. I was working on my daughter's car today and this little guy came crawling up to me. They may be very common for all I know but I've never seen a caterpillar that looks like this. After a little googling, I found out that it will become a white-blotched moth, scientific name Hetrocampa umbrata Walker, 1855. Does this mean that it was first identified by a guy named Walker in 1855?
