What is the significance of the U.K. and it's relevance to today in the U.S.?

Isn't that where the Sex Pistols were from?? I'm pretty sure they inspired the punk movement here in the states.

As a UK resident I am puzzled by your post. We try to make your countrymen welcome when we meet them. Is there nothing in your workshop from Robert sorby or other UK suppliers?

Dozer seems to remind us that we have MANY benefits from our former Mother country!!! Just look at some of the "September members" you have given us. We need those "seasoned turners". They can, truly, "clue us in" to the way things should be done.

Without the UK, we wouldn't have a Tea Party and George W wouldn't
have any friends?

ok, I'm not good at these. Can we have a multiple choice?

You were close Charlie....
But George W never had any friends, even from UK.....
All clowns are lonely:redface:
But he did have a lapdog called Tony that we gave him.

You guys need the UK to get decent tea from, cos you guys chucked all your tea in some harbour while out at a wild party somewhere.
Or something like that anyway:tongue:

That was Injuns. Besides the tea from the UK was the kind that only fit
in the little tiny cups that don't even have room for your pinky finger.

I always thought 'tea' was served on ice with lemon and sugar in a very big glass, on occasion with a touch of adult beverage:redface::biggrin: to 'brighten' the flavor. What is all this about itty bitty cups with tiny finger holes? Go ahead and get a 'real man's' container!:usflag::eek:

Guys, let's please stop with the politics, even if it is meant to be funny. Some folks may be on the other side of the issue and may not like your opinion. Then, if they state their opinion, it all goes downhill from there. As a reminder, politics of any kind are not permitted on IAP. Thanks!

Dean,
It's a new take on the "Indians" and Tea parties. Some of the allusions are pretty deep here.

You'll catch up as long a Google doesn't crash on you!!

my humor takes some time to get used it.
I may not be appreciated in my lifetime, but when
I'm dead and gone, you'll laugh.
Oh, you'll laugh.

No wait .. that's not how it goes...
