I have a customer who wants a pen made from some sort of yellow colored wood. I do not want to turn a pen and stain it.
Anyone have anything?
(Please respond through e-mail, I can check that at work.)

I just got a yellow box elder burl from CSI (just to see if a yellow wood would look OK). Well. believe me, this is about as yellow as it gets. Haven't turned it yet so no pic. Also, there are some yellow exotics. Search on Pau Amarello or Yellowheart. Also might look for Canarywood or yellow Parrot wood. I used Canarywood on a small project and the stuff I got wasn't especially yellow but I hear it varies from board to board.

Got some osage here, mostly green but some has been drying for 6-7 years. It will be a lot like Joe's mulberry, maybe a little chippier.
