Hey all,

I am looking to do some projects for Christmas gifts for some family members.

I would like to get the best quality kits for the following:

Ice Cream Scoop
Bottle Opener
Salt and Pepper Shakers

I am looking for high quality parts but having only really worked on pens I am at a loss.

Hopefully you all can point me to the "right stuff"

Thanks in advance.

You might want to try some bottle stoppers and those come from Ruth Niles. They are all machined stainless, not plated, and will not corrode in a few years. Google Ruth Niles and her site will pop right up. Also if you decide to buy from her do yourself a favor and call in the order. You will be happy you did.

Take a look at CSUSA (Craft Supplies) for their Stainless Steel Ice Cream scoop kits. Also, if you want salt & pepper shakers (as opposed to mills), they have kits for those too.
For bottle opener kits, I'm happy with the chrome ones Woodturningz has.

Stoppers are good but a more limited market than ice cream or shakers as far as use / interest.

I've used all the scoop types and like them all well enough.

The only places I've seen the shaker inserts are csusa and rockler. They are easy to do. If you'd like any tips, let me know.
