I have gotten into bowls lately, I have been using a sorby round nose scraper and thout it would be a good idea to get a woodchuck.
I just dont know if i should get the bowl pro or the uni tool.
Does anyone have experience with both these tools?
any suggestions as to wich one i should get?

May I suggest it is a matter of style -- do you like keeping track of small objects and making changes in small sharp carbide pieces with small screws while you are turning.

Me -- I get separate tools and just grab the one I want at the time without having to change tips.

Given that - I do use interchangable handles with several tools of different uses (so I do not have to change in the middle of a project).

So im pretty sure the bowl pro can only use square cutters, if so is it still good at doing the inside of bowls, versus a round cutter?

I recently bought the Uni-Tool for doing bowls and I really like the round cutter for doing the inside. The long handle also give me a greater feeling of control and stability. It only takes a couple of moments to change cutters and for me that's not a big deal.

The inserts aren't all that small, nor are the screws, and changing them is pretty easy, But there are quite a few who keep two tools, one with their choice of square insert and the other with the round insert. I do but then again I am privileged !!

I like my unitool. I use it for pens and bowls. I have not figured out how to use it as effectively as my Ellsworth gouge for bowls yet but I have not done that many bowls.

If I get the funds I will buy the pen pro as well. The unitool is kind of long for pens.
