Need help with Elegant Beauty

I disassembled an Elegant Beauty pen with a transfer punch.
I'm not sure what happened but now the band is loose and there is a gap.

I tried to press the pieces back together but nothing moved.

Any idea how I can repair this?

Look in your tool box. Find a socket with an opening larger that the shaft, but smaller than the embellishment ring.

Use the socket as a "press bushing". Deep well sockets work GREAT.

Next time I'll ask questions before applying too much pressure the wrong way and scratching the plating...

Andy, shame on you. This obviously needs more tools and greater power. Im thinking minimum a 20 ton press with a hydraulic ram and at least a 5 hp electric pump. New punches and both metric and inch deepwell sockets sets. A new metal lathe and mill. Probably an ultrasonic cleaner, powder coat setup and polishing equipment to repair that scratch.:biggrin:

Take a scrap piece of cutoff pen blank; drill a hole in it that is just larger than the press fit end dimension. Use a vise to press the pieces back together. Standard Operating Procedure.
