Like an idiot, I assembled the cap of a Panache pen wrong. My normal disassembly method is to hold the body with a grippy glove on my left hand, and drive the part out with a drill blank. I tried four progressively heavier hammers. Didn't budge at all. So I held the body in my right hand, and drove the drill blank against my cast iron bandsaw table. Hit it hard enough to put dents in the table. Didn't budge at all. Any ideas on how to disassemble it without damaging or destroying the body or the part?

Did you use any locktite or CA glue to hold parts in? The knockout punch should be the exact diameter of the tube or if you have to get in through a smaller hole.

Got it. I drilled a 9/16" hole in a block of wood, and Dremeled it to final size. I used that to start it, then I was able to drive it the rest of the way out with a hammer and grippier glove.

Jim, glad you were successful. I really like the pen press from PSI as I have never had something I could not take apart with it. I have also firmly grabbed the pen barrel with the punch against the part to be removed and slammed the punch into a workbench top to pop the part out.
