Well, the new job did not work out! I don't know why people tell you things and then when you start to work, everything changes.
If anyone in the Houston area needs a dependable person, please pm me.
I have plenty of experience in the oil industry in manufacturing depts in the assembly of oil tools, R&D, Supervising, production coordinating, QA, documentation or anything will be considered. I want in manufacturing dept, not Operations. Those guys in operations make me nervous, too fast paced for me at my age. I just want a fair wage and to pay my bills. I am definitely in the panic mode at this time.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Got bills coming in!
All feedback will be considered! I have a family to feed. Never been in this situation before. I am a veteran and well disciplined and ready to work!

Have you tried Kinder Morgan, ConocoPhillips, Plains and all that? I work for ConocoPhillips in pipeline control and am sure we have lots of openings there. At least we usually do. I can talk to some of our techs on the lines I operate down there. They are located in Brazoria county in the Angleton area. Not sure exactly what we would have, but I do see alot of I&E tech jobs and all that come up. They may even know of another company with something. I am sure you know Dow is down there also. I am just not real sure how close everything is down there to you.

Sorry to hear about your job situation. I was out of work for 10 months last year and it sucked. I've been at Halliburton since January. I just looked and they have a lot of manufacturing jobs posted in Spring, Houston, Conroe and near Dallas. Some posted as recent as a week or two ago.

Thanks everybody for your kind thoughts and prayers. I will check Weatherford. It is closer to me. Just kind of a weird feeling not being able to feed the family. I'm so used to being the bread winner as my wife can't work. Thanks again. I wish I could sell pens for a living but that just don't seem feasible. I guess I could get a portfolio and hit the streets and go business to business!
