I was gonna bid on this book on ebay Phil Irons only the seller will only ship within the US. Would someone be able to bid on this on my behalf? I will return the favor kindly.

Haven't a clue, there are no bids on it yet and it isn't the most popular woodturning book out there. I bought a Vicmarc VL175 from him and seen some of his work online. I suppose $10 but it won't come anywhere near that.

Never thought to check there. Just figured some of my IAP buddies would be able to help out and I could return the favor with blanks or something. The $4 shipping wouldn't cover shipping to Ireland would it?

Books are fairly heavy and I don't think there is an international rate at USPS for media mail...It could cost a couple of pence to remail it. Depends on how big it is and what kind of oa package has to be used.
 
You can buy it on Amazon and go through the checkout until you find what shipping would be. Even if you go all the way through check out you can turn right around and cancel the order. I've done it several times.
 
Keith, what has happened with your book? I am leaving for Europe on the 13th. I will be in London around the 20th. If I can get it before I leave I can mail it to you from London.

Keith, I just checked Amazon. the $4.24 book is used, from an outside seller. They usually take longer to get the book. One says, sometimes it takes 2 weeks. Since it is the 3rd. now and I actually leave on the 12th (oops) at 3:00am. I don't think I could get it before then in the mail. Woodcraft or Rockler might have it here but I am sure it would be full price. Let me know if you want me to try to find it before I leave. It would probably be around $25.00 at the retail store. I had entered a max bid of $7.50 and "we" now are the high bidder at $5.50. I tried but can't delete my bid so we will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to see what happens. If someone outbids I will get the one from amazon.
