Is there a local meet for IAP members living in North and South Carolina? If not, I'll volunteer to organize one.

Anyone?

There are two.

The NC meet is in Raleigh and I think the next one is Feb. 21st.

The SC meet is montly in Columbia and the next one is March 2nd. It's a fairly short meeting 1:00-2:30pm but you're more than welcome to come out to my place either before or after (got an extra room if need be).

Btw: That's an open invite for ANYONE who may want to come out for a visit!

Not really, but there's always the possibility of a get together at someone's house that could go on all day. I'm always up for hosting something like that.

I'd be happy to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to Aiken. I wouldn't need to stay the night, thank you for the generous offer.

I'm wanting to get into clear casting and just got through building a Binks pot ready to go. I'd be grateful for a private lesson in clear casting if that's convenient. I could buy lunch or trade some blanks or pay.

Also, I know the people in at Woodcraft in Charlotte. If anyone in the Charlotte area is interested, I'd be happy to arrange an afternoon there.

I have been trying to organize a get together in the Charlotte area but the venue is a problem. I spoke with Dennis at Woodcraft in Matthews and he is OK about using his training area, but weekends are out due to classes and since the store closes at 7:00 PM meeting during the day is the only option -- a problem for those that have jobs. If anyone is interested in a Monday - Friday lunch meeting, I will be happy to talk with Dennis.

I do have a line on a few meeting places in home shops, but both are in the Indian Trail area of SC. After the next Charlotte Woodturners meeting (2/21) I should have a better idea of when/where for those interested.

That'd be fun! Don't need any payment or any blanks, but I'd take you up for lunch

I'm available pretty much whenever. Let me know a time when you want to come out and I'll plan out a babysitter, etc.

Thanks a lot. Talking it over with the Mrs., will circle back to you.

I understand totally, i work too. I'd be happy to host it at my workshop, which is in my extended garage. I'll pick up some pizza and beer for everyone. maybe we can all bring some blanks to trade and organize some tutorials between ourselves?
