It strikes me as kinda funny that you're in Ca. making a pen out of Ohio Buckeye and I'm in Ohio and prefer Ca. Buckeye :biggrin:

Looks good. I'm wanting to make pens Ohio themed, maybe with the Ohio flag, etc. Buckeye being the state tree and all of that, I want to be able to say the wood is native.

(not that there is anything wrong with CA buckeye)

Thanks for good comments guys. A little history on the Ohio Buckeye. A friend of mine, and her boyfriend, who were living in Ohio at the time, both made a coffee table with the Ohio buckeye top and grape vine legs for the legs. She gave it to me to cut her out two pens as a rememberance of him as he is deceased. I cut the BIG table top and made a couple pens and made some blanks for myself. So it is really not CA buckeye, but from Ohio. I do have some blanks left (hint, hint)
