I like betting, but it's usually small. A soda or something like that. I have a running bet started 2 weeks ago with one of the Project managers from a different company. He's a Stewart fan and I am a Kyle. Currently he owes me 2 Mountain Dews.

It honestly is just a bragging rights thing. What about you all, make bets like that?

Slightly off topic:

40 or so years ago my Dad and I would bet nickels on a few football games. I rarely won, but when I did I would make him tape the nickel to a little piece of card stock and write the game score on it. I still have a few of those around. They are favorite keepsakes of mine - and definitely had value for bragging rights.

Sort of like the $1 bet made in the 1983 comedy Trading Spaces? We are human, it is competition, the trivial thing at the end is always for bragging rights. But if you ever fall asleep at work you can blame it on lack of Mountain Dew in this case,

I have a running bet with my son. I'm also a Tony Stewart fan and he is a Jimmie Johnson fan. Tony's performance so far has cost me a lot of six packs.

Anybody here ever get to the Bristol track? I've been going to the spring and summer races with my kids, all in their 40's, for the last few years. We take the motorhome for the night race in August. Great times, great memories.
