"Name this wood" on Black Titanium Navigator

I 'm not sure but I think this is Desert Ironwood. Someone please let me know if it isn't.:redface: I got this beautiful blank as a complimentary one from Dawn and Ed at Exotic Blanks. Looks nice! It looks a bit like desert ironwood to me, too. Did it stink when you turned it? That seems to be a good indication!

Hey Doc!!!!

It's a BEAUTIFUL pen!!! We bought a couple of boxes of "mixed species" wood blanks, specifically to use as "freebees". So, we really don't know either.

The clue is how it smelled as you turned it.

Looks like Desert Ironwood (stinks)!! Sorry we can't be of more assistance---but it sure is a pretty pen!!

Wow...it's a beauty of a piece of wood and a great looking pen. Might have to sneak over to Wisconsin and raid the freebie box!
