Marc When I turn a custom centerband I don't use bushings between them that way they always come out flush and you can make them any diameter you want because they are just matching eachother not a stock centerband.
I like the wood combinations, and the shape of the upper barrel I think you should try that same shape on the lower barrel too

Nice work Mark. I think it would look better if the upper and lower barrels matched. Let me stress that I am not criticizing, just giving my opinion.
