Well here are a couple more I forgot to photo...(I need to reshoot the others as I did not realize how soft my lens is at f32...uch...
A Blue Box Elder Burl from Arizona Silo. Nice stuff. I used the technique in his video to add the bands with the Embossing powder, and then used a CA finish as it sands unevenly to the wood so I had to fill it.
Another Blue Polygem. This stuff is neat and looks like colored marble. MM'd to max then hit the buffer, give a mirror finish.
And finally some nasty Oak burl, that with some care and TLC yielded a really highly figured pen. CA finish, voids filled with CA and sawdust. Not bad for a $2 blank at the local wood store. Think I will go buy some more...
